Re: available
That is excellent news!! You should be very proud for all that you did to get these dogs healthy & safe!! And we know that there won't be any planned or oops litters with these dogs - your actions didn't just help them, it helped keep others from living the life that you saw!

Re: available
Just wanted to update you all with what little information that I have found out thru someone that I know close to the courts. The BRB that I had delt with is going to trial next week. The puppies are all healthy and doing well 4 of the 6 pups that were seized are placed and will be released at the end of next week. These dogs all have been chiped fixed. I don't have any pics but hope to contact the new owners and let them no about this community and that I am here to help with anything that I can. Thanks to all your kind words and support thru this tough time for me and the pups. Happy endings

Re: available
I'm so sorry this didn't go the way you had planned. Definitely a live & learn situation. It really sucks that the investigation can't continue while the dogs are in your custody. Will they even let you foster them? The bureaucracy of it all doesn't see that a shelter is not the best home for these dogs. Even worse would be to consider if this case goes on for months. More people will adopt a 4 mos old pup vs. a 10 mos old. Sigh.
Please don't feel discouraged though. And absolutely do not kick yourself for contacting the SPCA. Next time just do it anonymously
But do know that hopefully, you have prevented these dirtbags from breeding any more Corsos or any other breed. You did do the right thing.

Good for you Matt
I know it sucks to be broke, we've been there for a long time now LOL but you did a great thing and that one pup will have a wonderful life because of you! That to me would make it all worth it. And you saved the other dogs from who knows what kind of life. I can't wait to see pics of the little guy

Re: available
We still want pictures.
Some times doing the right thing doesn't always work out...
Hopefully the puppies end up in good homes.

Re: available
You know what it is just as much my fault. I paid cash with no paperwork to cover my ass. If I had not called the spca they would not have investigated the asshole and seized the dogs from me. So I will live and learn. I did not have to cover the vet costs so I am only out of $450.00 due to the fact that one dog was placed. I always said if I could just stop one BRB I would be happy and save just one Corso in need it would be worth it. Well let me tell you IT IS, BUT IT ISN'T. LOL BECAUSE I TOO LEAVE LIKE MOST PEOPLE WK TO WK WITH A LITTLE TO SPARE. But that is because I am cheap. LOL Well I can say that I tried. The vet did find it to be neglect due to the shots not being up to date, and the fact the dogs were being fed food that was for adult dogs and placed into water bowls to soften the food. The dogs had sever diarrhea from this. The vet did not charge me but for one dog to cover time. He is a friend of mine. Thank God. I thank all of you for your kind words and helpful advice. And Bella now has a new corsi friend. ( I TOLD THE SPCA THAT ONE DOG DID NOT MAKE IT ) That is just a little lie.
He is happy were he is and I am not taking him away from that family. If you all are wondering why they didn't take all 7.

Re: available
This makes me so f&*()&(*)&() mad.
It was not necessary to seize the dogs, but they will do it anyway to throw their weight around. What can they prove by seizing the dogs that they couldn't prove by taking interviews, vet records, photos, and video footage without disrupting the dogs' new home? All of this looks really suspicious to me.
You can ask for your money back from the guy as part of the court proceedings against him, but
ever seeing that money
Getting a court order isn't the problem, enforcing it actually is.
Call me Matt if you want to talk.
I hope this works out for the best for the pups.
You still did a really great thing rescuing the pups and calling the SPCA.

Re: available
unfortunately, it sounds right to me. if they're part of an active investigation,
matt.... i think you should wait and see what comes of this. it's quite possible that the spca can find great homes for these puppies. which would save you the time/trouble even tho i know it's more about making sure they're ok to you than anything else. i think at the very least you should ask for
from this asshole.... regardless.
