You guys are doing FANTASTIC work!  Corso rescuing is so frustrating because the BYB's keep pumping them out.  Congratulations on your organization!

I'll check out the website.  I live right outside of DC in Maryland, and I can always help with some leg of a transport when needed

 Cool
I think it's great to see people willing to help save needy Cane Corsos!  And Philly definitely needs some help.  Best wishes to you & thank you to all that participate or donate to rescue.  Every little bit counts big!

This past weekend Big Paws Big Hearts was set up at the Reading Pet Expo and went very well.  A big thanks to those that attended and to those that helped with the booth.  It was another sucess in educating the public on the Corso breed and addressing the growing issues the rescue is trying to help.  I you are interested in helping out Big Paws Big Hearts Cane Corso Rescue at a future event or with fostering, please visit www.bigpawsbigheartsrescue.com and you can also become a fan on facebook as well.  Here are some pictures from the expo.

Thanks for offering help Marcia, we need all the help we can get in this area.  The problem is getting pretty bad and we cannot let the Cane Corso breed become the next pitbull.  Below you will find some links to the rescue site and contact info as well as you will see them in my prior post.

I wanted to take a moment to really thank everyone for support and donations so far. In the short time of operations we have already gained the confidence and trust from local rescues and the local community has welcomed us with open arms. At the present time it is alarming how fast Corsos are coming through the rescue. In the past 6 days we have taken in 3 more. As a result we are looking for local volunteers to get involved and help out with things such as walking dogs at our facility in Malvern, train dogs, and most importantly fostering. I myself have fostered quite a few Corsos to date and the feeling of helping them when they are in great need or left for dead at a shelter is just a great feeling. If anyone can help us out it would be greatly apreciated. If you are willing to help out please email Jennifer Molchan at  or call 610-400-1135. If you are not local to the Philadelphia area or surrounding cities, donations are always much apreciated. There is a link for donations on the Rescue's site: www.bigpawsbigheartsrescue.com

I am sure many of you are aware that back yard breeders are becoming a serious problem for the Cane Corso and the number of these guys turning up in shelters is getting out of control.  The Philadelphia area has gotten very bad and the rate Cane Corsos are being dumped in shelters is getting scary.  With that being said, I wanted to get the word out about a newly formed Cane Corso rescue called Big Paws Big Hearts Cane Corso Rescue.  Big Paws is going to be local to just the Philadelphia area to start cleaning up the Corso scene and also educating the public on our breed and the importance of avoiding back yard breeders.  I would encourage all of you to check out the Big Paws Big Hearts Cane Corso Rescue website; www.bigpawsbigheartsrescue.com.  Some of the site is still under construction, but it should be finished shortly.  There is a donation page already sent up there and every little bit helps.  Big Paws spent 3 days this past weekend at the Pet Expo in King of Prussia and it was a great success.  The turnout was huge and the Big Paws Big Hearts booth generated a ton of positive interest not only in the rescue, but also in the breed.  If you are in the Philadelphia area we do need your help.  We need volunteers for various aspects of the rescue such as fostering, transport, help at events, and donations.  Even if you are not in the Philly area donations either big or small is a great way of showing your support and your love for the Cane Corso breed.  Please check out the website above and you can also drop in an email for more information untill the site is fully up and running.  The email address is info@bigpawsbigheartsrescue.com  or you can call (610) 400-1135.  You can also Click here to go right to the donation page.  I will also keep this everyone update with new news and upcoming events.  We have also set up a facebook fan page.  Please come visit us and become a fan.  It is a great way to keep up to date with upcoming events, avalible dogs, success stories, and general information about the rescue.  If you do not have a facebook account, this is the perfect reason to create one.  Come check us out. http://www.facebook.com/pages/Philadelphia-PA/Big-Paws-Big-Hearts-Cane-Corso-Rescue/335535609753?ref=mf
